Welcome to "Community with Marie Lazzara."

On this show,  Marie interviews people from the business and nonprofit sectors as well as others who involve themselves in unique contributions to their communities.

Join Marie as she interviews Laurie Olbrisch, chief operating officer of Rainbows, an Itasca-based nonprofit organization that gives children and teens the guidance to grieve and grow after loss.

Since 1983, Rainbows has helped more than 2.6 million children in the wake of their personal or community tragedies. The goals include helping children to develop and strengthen coping skills, learn appropriate behavior and anger management, alleviate depression, and reduce emotional pain and suffering.

Marie will also interview Susan Brauer, local author and president of Dreamers Tapestry, her own publishing company. Brauer, who is passionate about helping women to be self-confident in their lives so they can follow their dreams, will promote her upcoming book “Podium Panic: Fear Fighters & Tips For Effective Presentation.” It is a women's handbook and reference for presentation skills and the fear of public speaking.
