Community with Marie Lazzara

On this show, Marie interviews people from the business and nonprofit sectors as well as others who involve themselves in unique contributions to their communities. Joining Marie is guest co-host Melissa Heisler, life and business coach.

Join Marie and Melissa as they interview Annie Farell, co-founder of Annie’s Resale for the World in Rolling Meadows. The nonprofit organization was founded in 2011 by Streamwood couple Donald and Annie Farrell. They have, over the past 10 years, worked for several international Christian relief and development organizations that serve the extreme poor in developing countries.

Having traveled to countries such as Thailand, Burma, Haiti, Russia and Uganda, The Farrells and board members witnessed firsthand the pain and despair of deep poverty, but also the work of church and community leaders who are dedicated to lifting their communities out of poverty and bringing people into a life of promise and hope. The Farrell’s mission with this shop is to sell donated goods and sharing the proceeds with those serving the poor.

The ladies will also interview Donna Lenhardt, executive director of the Streamwood Chamber of Commerce. The chamber is dedicated to promoting, enhancing and supporting the prosperity of its members.
