Through willpower, 23 years of therapy and five hospitalizations, she overcame a horrific childhood resulting in Major Depression, PTSD, and Dissociative Identity Disorder. Despite these hardships, Ms. Champé rose from an entry-level position in the mail room of a Fortune 20 Company to become a Strategic Planner on the Regional VP's staff in only 19 years. Now retired, she is dedicating the rest of her life to speaking out about child abuse and neglect, and to helping adult survivors reclaim their lives. She speaks to legislators, law enforcement, child advocacy centers, and universities. Ms. Champé recently worked on a National Trauma Campaign for SAMHSA – a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
