Tonight's SPECIAL GUEST is Tim Fisher. Mr Fisher resides in the Las Vegas area and runs Juvenile Justice Now. More than 100,000 sex offenders are in violation of state and federal laws by not registering their current addresses with local law enforcement. The Juvenile Justice Now web site operates as a public service, and uses the Internet by way of displaying pictures of people who are currently not in compliance with current sex offender registration laws. Users are encouraged to keep the available information on registered offenders current and up to date. Tim cautions that each state has it’s own information collection and privacy / confidentiality policies, as well as policies / disclaimers / terms and conditions for access to information contained in state sex offender web sites (review individual state conditions of use). Megan's Law, signed into law in 1996 by President Clinton, allows states discretion in establishing criteria for disclosure, but compels them to make private and personal information on registered sex offenders available to the public. ~ Please see the web site: www.JuvenileJusticeNow.com
