Tonight's SPECIAL GUEST is Laura Fogarty, from Charleston, SC, author of the children's book "I'm the Boss of Me," which empowers young readers to be the boss of their bodies. The book is wonderfully written in rhyme and beautifully illustrated by Remi Bryant and includes a message to parents by Anne Lee, the Founder and CEO of Darkness to Light. “The message you are teaching your child is to rely on his/her intuition about whom to trust and whom not to trust. All children should be empowered with the language to protect themselves,” says Anne. This book will help parents open a dialogue with their children about a tough topic but one that is imperative to better protecting them from possible abuse. Laura Fogarty is also launching a "Letters to LALA" campaing at Stop Abuse Campaign.org designed to answer questions from the abused. She's is the author of two novels, Larger than Life and Painted Blue. You can order books by contacting Laura's publisher, Lucinda Dunn, at deal.lucinda@gmail.com.
