Tonight's SPECIAL GUEST is Ronald L Book of Florida, a specialist in government affairs and administration law, with a Juris Doctoral degree from Tulane University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida International University. The thing that makes him EXTRA SPECIAL to us at NAASCA is that he's the father of Lauren Book, the 27 year old survivor and activist who appeared as a special guest on our "Stop Child Abuse Now" show. Lauren has just completed a 1500 mile, 39 day trek across the state of Florida (her third such annual journey by way of raising awareness for issues of child abuse). Her dad, Ron Book, is an active participant in South Florida’s professional arena, a trustee of the Council of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Legislative Affairs and State Affairs committees. In addition to serving more than 20 community organizations, Book is a founding member of Lauren’s Kids. We highly recommend the work of the outstanding non profit, Lauren's Kids, and congratulate the group for all its fine accomplishments. Mr. Book currently operates his own lobbying practice in Aventura and Tallahassee.
