Tonight's special guest is Julie Federico of Colorado, author of the children's books "Some Parts Are Not For Sharing" and the more recently published "Anger is OKAY Violence is NOT" (please see www.JulieFederico.com).  A middle school counselor since 1993, Julie holds a bachelors degree in social work and a masters degree in counseling from Indiana University. She is also a certified, level III alcohol counselor in the state of Colorado. She knows first hand the ramifications of childhood abuse. In her book, children travel with a pair of friendly fish as they learn about what parts of our bodies we share with others, and learn what the boundaries of appropriate touching are in a very non-threatening way. Ms Federico is concerned that the many misconceptions and misunderstandings about the issues of child abuse need to be dispelled through honest and frank conversations with children, adolescents and adults. Her second book, "Anger is OKAY Violence is NOT," was published recently. Children enjoy learning important information from a pair of fish.
