Tonight's special guest is James Allen from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, one-time US Congressional candidate and author of a just-released book, "The Forgotten Child - by Jim Allen, father of abducted son" (www.forgottenchild.us). An electrical contractor for 20 years, Jim’s son was abducted (illegally retained) in Colombia, South America. Jim found very quickly our government’s inability and unwillingness to step in and step up for his son, a United States citizen, and get him returned to the United States. Jim also found that politics and diplomacy were put before the peoples interest and protection. Jim Allen says, "I am the father of an abducted child. I ran for Congress in NC to take back the Constitution for your child and mine. The Sixth district in NC has been a rudderless ship in a sea of confusion for years, I'd hoped to captain this ship back to the land of jobs, fair play, hope, and the constitution. I am also a member of action for abducted children." Jim lost his bid for a US Congressional seat in the 4th District of North Carolina by only 200 votes. The only thing that has been preserved in Jim’s fight for justice has been his self respect, and his respect for others. In his struggles for justice, he has met many people that have been placed below and behind by the ones elected to serve us.
