Tonight's special guest is JR from Boston, Massachusetts, child sexual abuse survivor and NAASCA volunteer. Having appeared as a panelist on numerous "Stop Child Abuse Now" talk shows in the past, this is the first time we'll have him as our featured special guest. We're delighted for the opportunity to get to know him even better. JR has worked on his recovery since 2007 and says, "I have come a long way." A volunteer working with the homeless in the Boston area, he's now starting a new project, a survivor creativity passion documentary. JR earned a degree in Economics and is studying anthropology. Interested in connecting with other child abuse and trauma survivors, JR believes there's great opportunities to heal when engaged in a group recovery experience. As he says, "I am working to move beyond victimhood and my life is staring to open up." JR is a dedicated NAASCA member.
