Tonight's special guest is Lynette (Coker) Robinson from New Zealand, child abuse survivor and author of a memoir "Where The Rainbow Fell Down." Ms Robinson wrote me, "Although I suffered sexual abuse, the impact of this was minimal compared to the psychological and religious abuse I was subjected to." This is from her synopsis. "Where the Rainbow Fell Down is a harrowing tale but it is also a story of triumph over adversity and is therefor a story of hope and inspiration for others. Set in mid-century New Zealand, I take the reader on a spellbinding journey back to post-war New Zealand and beyond. I then bring the reader forward as I share our nation's triumphs and tragedies - alongside my own personal ones. I was tormented by the four deadly fears inherited from my mother - God, the Devil, her Father and the Catholic Church. Although a feisty child, this did not save me from coercion into marriage to an older man when I was a teenager. Years of marital unhappiness follow. The second half of the memoir tells the story of the Catholic priest I fell in love with. Our love for each other set him on a collision course with the church." Please see the Facebook Page
