Tonight's special guest is Sherry Friedlander from Ft Lauderdale, Florida, Founder and CEO of A Child Is Missing (.org and .com), a program provided free to law enforcement to assist in early search and recovery of missing children (Autistic / suicidal / runaways), the disabled and the elderly, (often with Alzheimer's / Dementia). The group also participates in Human Trafficking recovery. Since 1997, A Child Is Missing Alert Program has worked on over 38,000 missing cases, put out over 57 Million alert calls nationwide. We have had press in every state and continue to do so with over 1,400 safe assisted recoveries where ACIM has helped bring someone home. The program fills the gap between law enforcement and the Amber / Silver Alerts when a child / elderly doesn't qualify for these alerts. Sherry Friedlander serves on the Board of Governors for Nova Southeastern University's Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship and was a delegate at the White House Conference on Missing, Exploited, and Runaway Children. She was on the board of the Association for Missing and Exploited Children. She has been involved in OJJDP seminars on missing children's issues both as a speaker and participant, and spoke at the International Mayors Conference, June 2003, and various Chiefs' and Sheriffs' conferences. Sherry's also a member of Florida's Missing Children Organization. She reminds us, " ..donations that give you tax credits are needed to help you save the lives of children/elderly.
