Tonight's special guest is Toni Clark from South Carolina, here to talk to us about "Defenders For Children, Breaking the Cycle of Child Abuse Defenders for Children” a grassroots, all volunteer organization. Their mission is to prevent child abuse by creating, implementing and operating projects that raise community awareness, educate adults & children and increase community involvement to keep children safe by stopping abuse before it happens. Every year over 6 million children are involved in a child abuse case. The rate of child abuse is increasing and services for victims are being reduced because of lower private giving & sharply reduced government funding. A second associated group, OneStepStronger, is designed to appeal to teens helping teens feel safe while facing the unspoken challenges of everyday life. The Defenders for Children web site says, "Can you imagine you or a child being hurt, and you don't know who to tell or who to trust? We invite you to join us, become a 'Defender for Children
