Tonight's special guest is DH (Hank) McGrath, a survivor of severe child abuse, an activist and author of the new book "Slave In Modern America." McGrath was born in South Troy, New York, where he spent his first six years of horror under the care of an extremely and disturbed mother and a never-home-father, in a very poor Irish family setting filled with emotional turmoil, unemployment, poverty, and serious hardships. He was the eldest born son of four children (later to become five children), and suffered his first drowning when he was 4 or 5 years old. "Slave in Modern America; the Living Story of Child Abuse" depicts the life and actual events of abuse, torture and terror suffered by a child and the "system's" response. It is a four-volume series which covers segments of Hank's life. The first book covers his time as a slave-child being tortured and how he escapes and lives on the city streets throughout US. The second volume describes is his life trapped in juvenile schools and early adulthood as a gangster working for well known mobsters. The third book is about when he goes thru imprisonment and becomes a sort of civil rights leader working with famous people in Black Panthers and Northern Ireland's Sinn Fein. The fourth book is on the present where he's become a well known rights advocate and media entrepreneur (Hank hosts his own BlogTalkRadio show, VOPfreedomradio). A Kickstarter Campaign for "Slave In Modern America" seeks to provide the funds needed to publish the first book of the series.
