SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "For Our Kids" - Deborah Maddison, Angela Borths and Joan Zanard will lead the discussion about the Rights of Children and Families in North America in a series of bi-weekly shows dealing with the subject. We'll shine a special spotlight on an urgent case at the top of the show. Dr. Ruby Dillon, from Orange County, California, has a 7 year old daughter, Lexi, who was sexually abused during a visit with her father. Ruby was punished for speaking out and a Family Court Judge stripped her of her parental rights. Now Lexi's abusive father is attempting to take her to Thailand. After that author Eugenea Couture from British Columbia, Canada, will discuss her incredible journey as a young girl growing up through the Social Services System where she survived both sexual and physical abuse. Now Eugenea shares many positive tools for others to locate and reunite their family members, even when all hope seems lost. We are also excited to welcome Advocate Kevin Cline, from Tacoma, Washington. Kevin has a background in Human/Social Services and is a devoted advocate. His in-depth perspective and experience with the challenges faced by our most targeted people in society today are not only relevant but unique, with a focus on positive change. Finally, Tracy Baxter, an incredibly dedicated member of the For Our Kids Team will be coming on as a panelist and advocate as well. Tracy has worked tirelessly for Children and Families and her story will also be uploaded to the NAASCA/ForOurKids website. ~~ Every two weeks a new THEME will be presented in this series, with frequent special guests speaking from their own experience. ~~ Please see our web page at: www.NAASCA.org/ForOurKids or write to: naasca.forourkids@gmail.com
