Tonight's special guest is Christine Lozier from Boston, a returning NAASCA family member who is a survivor, activist and Board Member of "Protect Mass Children" where the mission is to pass stronger law to protect children from sexual predators, to educate the community on how to defend themselves from sexual predators, to end childhood sexual abuse in Massachusetts, and to be a voice for the victims. Christine is also now serving as President at "Speaking Out Safely", a non-profit organization focused on prevention and response of three epidemic level crises in our society: child sexual abuse, domestic violence and bullying. They educate on both sides of each issue: first, prevention and empowerment to keep community members safe and prevent abuse from ever happening in the first place; and second, how to respond if a perpetration does happen. Speaking out Safely is inventing a new future for a loving, empowered and ‘us world’. Christine is also here to catch us up on her personal life over the last couple years. Her recovery story is an example of how healing often happens in spurts, but that one must still deal with life on life's terms. Christine is determined to continue to make progress in her life, and is a terrific example of a valuable and respected NAASCA family member who has refused to give up, and continues to serve the survivor community.
