Tonight's special guest is Dr. Regina M. Baldwin from St Louis, Missouri, a survivor of child abuse, recovery councilor and Pastor (see: Hope4hurtinghearts.org). Dr Baldwin says, "Aside from dealing with domestic violence, I also have and have had many sexual abuse clients. I, personally, am a survivor of both and am so thankful that God was able to use those experiences to enable me to help others." And she goes on, "Coming through my many life experiences has taught me far more than my professional training, education, and clinical experience." In her practice Regina provides support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She offers a highly personalized program tailored to her clients. She says, "With compassion and understanding, I work with you to help build on your strengths and attain the personal growth you are committed to achieving." "We all stumble and fall," Dr Baldwin notes. "What matters most are two things: What do we do when we pick ourselves up, and secondly, who is faithfully there to stand beside us?" She explains, "My stumbling and experiences include a teenage pregnancy, self-sabotage of a successful business, low self-esteem, dysfunctional childhood, and several failed marriages due to domestic violence and addiction to mention a few." Regina's founder of the Christian Mental Health & Family Hope Ministries, which recently received 501(c)3 non profit status. They're excited to have launched a program to deal with domestic violence (along with substance abuse, mental health, sexual abuse, etc).
