SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "For Our Kids" - Deborah Maddison and Eugenea Couture, Canadian activists from British Columbia, will join Bill Murray to lead this evening's discussion about the Rights of Children and Families in North America. TONIGHT'S TOPIC: "The Courage to Break Free" ~~ PART 1 ~~ It is a tragic irony that society claims to protect victims but when protective parents or professionals try to do the right thing, the victims often suffer retaliation. And worse, the child is not protected. We have all the right slogans like 'end the silence on domestic violence' but when it comes to domestic abuse the system itself often becomes an additional perpetrator, and the victim is punished for speaking out. Join us tonight as we speak with people who both personally and professionally have found the courage to speak out and stand up for both themselves and others going through this .. people who are willing to share their incredible stories.
