Tonight's special guest is Ronnie Carol from Los Angeles, a life coaching who has a passionate need to help stop bullying and intimidation, and work with families. "My parents were loving, very strict," Ronnie shares. "We were never abused or bullied [in the house]." But Ronnie grew up rather gangly and awkward. The kids constantly taunted Ronnie for her looks. A consistent A+ student, her teachers would get her up in the front of the class. "Some of the kids would say 'Smarty Pants' in a mean way." When she was 10 the family moved and Ronnie got braces. Three years later the braces came off. "I was popular and a cheerleader but I was cautious about some of the mean girls. Thankfully, social media was not around then." Ronnie started modeling in the 1960’s. "I took karate classes and developed strength. This empowered me" In the late 70’s she moved to Los Angeles and had two sons. "Sadly, they were bullied by me. This is so prevalent, if you have been bullied, you often become one." She enjouyed a successful modeling career. A friend suggested she get help with her lingering anger issues. "She took me to Al Anon 33 years ago" This was her turning point. "I realized that I am a work in progress and continually need to improve myself." Her passion and need to help stop bullying, intimidation, and work with families on both sides drives her now. "I also want to get in to the schools which sadly seems impossible," Ronnie says. "Awareness and action can be the first steps to stop the fear, depression, and suicides of kids that have been victimized by bullying." See her YouTube video
