Tonight's special guest is Dawn Lloyd from Pocahontas, Illinois, a child abuse survivor who serves as the NAASCA Ambassador for Illinois. She's also a writer and blogger who writes about abuse and healing. Dawn describes herself as an International Best Selling Co-Author, Results Catalyst, and Trauma / Passion / Business Coach. "I take my clients through all three of these steps to create a business they love" she says. "All of the books that have my writings in them serve a purpose to help others. I use them to help people out there that are hurting." That's because Dawn herself is a survivor. "I have lived with violence from conception until my mid-forties. I had one memory from under the age of 5 that has kept me going. I never believed that I deserved to live in violence, but I did think it was my lot in life. I couldn't have been more wrong." Dawn goes on, "I'm using my book with co-authors, 'Dream Boldly, I Dare You,' to help special needs children. I just want to help any way I can." She continues, "I've helped a lot of women with the 'Dream Boldly' book. I take the profit to help others." Her own life story, a book entitled 'Destined 2 Dawn,' will be out in the fall. "I have turned my pain into a gift to help others," she explains. "I didn't find my passion, it found me. It turned out that even my name had meaning for my life."
