Tonight's special guest is Carol D Levine from Oxford, New Jersey, one of NAASCA's most dedicated volunteer family members. She serves as Vice-president of NAASCA's non-profit (charity) and is the author of the book "Panic Child: the harrowing true story of sexual abuse and neglect." A lot has happened in Carol's life over the last couple years. She took care of her husband Marty until he passed a year ago, eventually sold their old home and is now on the cusp of moving into a new house within the next week. Carol's commitment to the cause and mission at NAASCA, educating the public and serving fellow survivors, is unsurpassed. She reaches the public by making regular live personal appearances both in northwest New Jersey and northeast Pennsylvania. She's offered hope for healing to innumerable still-suffering adult survivors of child abuse. It's not been an easy path for Carol. Her childhood was filled with child sexual abuse, stranger abduction, and rape, a journey of pain, and neglect. But even after the toll it took on her in her adult life, over 30 years ago Carol found the courage to keep going, to heal and to be a voice for change. Carol has appeared on numerous other radio shows, too, has been interviewed for newspapers and has spoken before community groups and at colleges. She spreads her message of recovery and speaks out against the horrible pandemic of child  abuse. Carol continues to appear as a regular host on our SCAN talk shows, and trains new hosts as NAASCA expands. She's always willing to step in wherever a regularly scheduled talk show host has a conflict.
