Tonight's special guest is Caroline Pugh-Roberts from London, Ontario, Canada. Born in South Africa, her  family traveled extensively. She was first sexually abused at 8, when she was assaulted while swimming in a lake by a 13 year old boy. "I climbed out of the water and never said a word," she says, "but I was never the same child again." Raped at 14, 16 and 18, she fought back by pushing her last rapist out an 8 story window, killing him. "I had to, it was him or me," she says. "I was also trafficked for 8 years." Now she works full time with those who have been, are or at high risk of being trafficked. "I have struggled with Depression, anxiety, DID, conversion disorder, colitis, migraines. I have had over 10 years of therapy to get to the point where I can now be an advocate." She explains, "The day I finally got away, I stopped the drugs and got serious about not hurting anymore. I am far more at peace with myself. I work full time with those who have been, are or at high risk of being trafficked." Caroline concludes, "I have spoken to and educated over 40 thousand people on this issue, and am writing a book for survivors covering things like, 'Why do I still love him?' I am writing a curriculum that will be mandatory for all residents in the hospitals here. One of the big parts will be how to separate a minor victim from a guardian in order to ask the right questions."
