In 1971 the company shifted direction and became famous for producing licensed action figures, including, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek, Wizard of Oz, Moonraker, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Black Hole, and Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Starting in 2019, Mego created action figures from the iconic Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan movie.
