Uncle Jim and his Trekspert sit down and talk with "Young Sarek" himself, Jonathan Simpson about working on Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier. He got his first professional acting job in a Michael McDonald/James Ingram music video ?Yah mo be there.? Shortly thereafter he got his screen actors guild card. After graduation as an acting major from Arizona State, he moved to Los Angeles where he studied acting with Sal Romeo and became a founding member of Friends and Artists Theatre which became his second home away from home. After his marriage and birth of his first born in 1992, he relocated his new family to Phoenix. He then taught several acting and film study classes at Arizona State University for 17 years. In 2008 he left ASU and turned his focus to professional photography. Now, with both of his daughters grown and out of the nest, he is focusing more on his acting career, and his Star Trek roots by attending conventions and making lots of new friends in the Trek world.
