The CIA has been exposed, and the principals are scurrying for position.

Senator Diane Feinstein, Chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee released this week, the very controversial CIA Report, which provided graphic detail of torture (AKA enhanced interrogation techniques) of suspected conspirators of the 9/11 attacks, in 2001.

Whatever altruism she may possess, it does seem somewhat, she decided to take a major parting shot at the GOP, as her leadership tenure and that of the Senate Democrats, comes to an end. .

Barack Obama and John McCain, took strong positions against torture, while Dick Cheney and the present Director of the CIA, defined the tactics, arguing that the information extracted, prevented further attacks, thus, saving American lives.

While this report is perhaps the highest level of transparency ever, of the Agency, one has to wonder, what information was left out?

Frankly, not only does this open up for a discussion of information-extraction tactics, but the larger issue of the CIA itself, in its historic role in American and world politics, in Africa, for example.

This should be a most provocative discussion on Critical Discourse.
