Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, Certified Transformational Health Coach, Nurse, Fitness Trainer, Educator, Blogtalkradio host, Best Selling Author.

Father's Day in the past:

Family Outings: car, bikes, hiking, swimming, fishing, bowling, soccer

Family BBQs

Home made crafts, cards, wallets, key rings, wood carvings, poems,

Father's Day this June 21, 2020: same as above. What has changed? ATTITUDE. All other activities can still take place, except for big gatherings. Small family BBQs are still fine.

So, why all the fear, resentment, feeling deprived, etc.?

Does everything need to be expensive, extravagant, always better and bigger than the previous year?

How does this SHIFT affect you mentally, physically and financially?

I have mentioned the #healthybody, #healthymind, #healthyfinances so often, do you have an idea where I am going with this?

A sad, negative, angry mindset causes illness; whereas a happy, positive, loving mindset creates health in all three aspects.

So, what do YOU choose to do to be happy, healthy, motivated, positive mindset, not wasting money, using your mind, your hands, your skills to create something?

My Dad never liked any bought gifts, yet he treasured the home made ones. He said he loved that we put effort forth, invested in giving our love, made something special be it baking, cooking, playing music, singing, playing cards with him, chess, etc.

One song we all loved singing was and still is: Tis Love That Makes Us Happy, tis love that smooths the way....

Create something, video tape, take a picture, send entry by F-D to dythomson@gmail.com   and the best 3 entries will receive a gift from me. Make sure it's original and that YOU made it.

Until next week, stay happy, healthy and empowered.
