Why is Hydration so important and what does it mean?

Hydration is the process of causing something to absorb water. In our case, our body.

Did you know that our body contains a high percentage of water?

Ages 12 - 18: male av. 52% - 66%         19 - 50: 42% - 73%        51 and older: 46% - 67%

Ages 12 - 18: female av. 49% - 63%,     19 - 50: 41% - 60%        51 and older: 39% - 57%

Infants and Children: Birth to 6 months:  64% - 84%,  6 months to 1 year: 57% - 64%, 1 - 12 years: 49% - 75%
