Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now. Today I choose to talk about: Water Is The Source Of Life, because so much in our life depends on it. Hydration (drinking water), Water Therapy for rehab, Cleaning: body, house, clothes, cars, Garden for the plants to grow, the lawn to be lush, etc.

My name is Denise Thomson. Why am I sharing with you that WATER is so important? I've been involved in the health field for over 50 years and worked with my patients, clients, and of course myself to have plenty of experience, including personal.

FACTS: FB Post July 18

FACT: Water is a critical component of your body, making up between 55 - 60% of your weight. Your body can't store water - unlike fat - so you need to replenish it often. That's why drinking at least 8 glasses of 8 oz each a day is a core Habit of Health. p. 263 - 265 in HoH

Hydration: Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up, before every meal, and any time you feel the urge to put something in your mouth, because in addition to water's other wonderful benefits, it helps suppress appetite.

Tip: add a squirt of lemon or some fresh mint leaves

Cleaning: body, dishes, clothes, home, car

Growth: people, produce, fruits, grass, trees, animals

Therapy / Healing: Fractured bones, gaining muscle strength

Health, Weightloss: cellular level, detox, speed up metabolism

Survey: FB post on 7/21  Answer the question for yourself: You know you are dehydrated when____

Benefits, recap: great blood flow, energy, less toxins in the body, clearer mind, less cramping, easy on rehab, clearer and smoother skin,

Until next week, stay happy, healthy and empowered.

If time left, I'll read a few poems about water. If not, you can google them.
