Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now. Over the last few weeks, deep breathing has served me so much in lowering my stress level, felt for many different reasons. That's why I choose to share some of the benefits with you. There are two main categories that are helped by proper deep breathing: mental wellbeing and physical wellbeing. My name is Denise Thomson. I love guiding you to your optimal health, leading by example with years of experience in the medical/health field and lots of personal experience, as well as many experiences with my clients. I am also fortunate to be a best selling author with a stress reduction book, written so simple that everyone can understand it.

Deep breathing is one of the best ways to lower stress in the body. This is because when you breathe deeply, it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax. The brain then sends this message to your body... Breathing exercises are a good way to relax, reduce tension and relieve stress.

Benefits of deep breathing: Reduces Stress, relaxes, reduces anxiety, helps you sleep better, calms you down, allows you to focus more, improves relationships, reduces disease, creates harmony,  (in my book I talk about how it affects certain areas..)

To get some visual help in how to breath deeply with your diaphragm, you can google it and watch a few videos, that will show you how to take a healthy deep breath and control your breathing out to benefit the most. (voice, wind instrument, sports)

Prevention of disease through proper breathing is effective and powerful. Know where your stress level is and how YOU can control it!
