Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now. What do OBJECTIONS have to do with health? Actually more than we like to admit. Why? How do they make you feel? What are your thoughts when hearing objections? How do you act, react, process your response(s)?

I'm Denise Thomson, and I have received more objections in my life than I care to remember. Then why is this so important to me and why am I qualified to talk about it?

Life's objections, challenges, our thinking process are a daily occurrences and what better way to master them than by being prepared.

Personal experience: felt intimidated, felt unworthy, felt silly, not skilled, etc.

How did it affect me? Negative mindset, frustrated: neg mind causes illness, pos mind creates health!

What I've learned is that these objections were triggered by my insecurities. Once I felt confident that I was the expert I saw them as                    excuses or smoke screens, or people being indecisive, hence using objections as not to make a decision. Well, not making a decision is actually still making a decision.

So, how do we best deal with objections? Don't argue or try to convince someone. Listen, respond politely, and leave it at that. Ask lots of questions as they control the conversation. Use "Feel, Felt, Found", use stories with examples of people if you don't have personal ones.

The more questions you ask, the less excuses they have because they run out of them. I found info from 17 years ago  compared with new info. The gist is the same, just change the subject, adapt the questions.

Looking at these smoke screens/excuses creates an awareness in me to be a much better listener and hone in on what the real truth is.
