Tonight's special guest is Sylvie Bouldin from Las Vegas, Nevada, a child abuse and DV survivor who describes herself as “a 68-year-old six-time winner! Recovering alcoholic/addict, Co-alcoholic, Adult Child of an Alcoholic, Profound Child Abuse Survivor, Profound Domestic Violence Survivor and recently diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. After surviving child abuse, I became what my father called me, ‘The Scum of the Earth’ and spent my twenties with eating disorder after anorexia, after bulimia, a heroin addict, a speed freak, a prostitute, there were suicide attempts, the men who used and beat me, there was the despair - the depression - the hopelessness - the Hepatitis C. That's when I found AA and the first real stability of my life. After 20 years of sobriety I met and married who was to me the most violent man I have ever, and to this day, met. I thought it was about love, but … he started beating me black, blue, green and purple and terrorizing me! It took Herculean effort to 'escape' from him - with very little help! - but I did. This was followed by years and years of isolation, bitterness and a raging addiction to marijuana … My spiritual awakening in November of 2018 has been Life - Heart - and Soul transforming. I now truly KNOW why I'm here on this Earth! I am a self-proclaimed Warrior for gender and racial equity and for the protection of children. For ANYTHING CORRUPT that crosses my path! I am here to turn all of my pain into service!” Sylvie is writing a book, 'Why I'm Here!' (on the Planet), which she calls "a gut-wrenching, transparent documentation of the childhood abuse and neglect that I experienced." Sylvie says, "I have been 'kissed by God' to have had a most profound spiritual awakening and would like to share my experience, strength and hope to suffering callers."
