Tonight's special guest is Ed Squire from Denver, Colorado. " My father, his brothers, and sister were sexually abused as children by their stepfather," Ed reports, "who was the same man that sexually abused me. I was sexually abused from age four until ten by three different men." He goes on, "I mostly felt confused when I was four years old because I didn't understand what was happening to me and I learned how to disassociate while I was being abused as I got older, but I remember the feeling of always wishing someone would walk in and discover what was going on." Now he's able to manage his life in a way that is productive, as healthy as it can be, and says, "I have a tremendous amount of gratitude and thanksgiving to be alive and for who I've become." Helping others, Ed runs a non profit organization, 'MeTooWhatNow' and has a YouTube channel. "I'm currently in a relaunch phase where I'm working on a documentary about a lawsuit I filed against the school board and the teacher back in Canada, I'm writing my memoir, and I'm creating an online video course for survivors to help them work through their trauma." Ed is certainly staying busy. "My first written published work is a chapter I contributed to a book called ‘World Changers' in collaboration with an author from South Africa which is in the final stages of the publishing process. I speak as often as I can to other advocacy groups, nonprofit organizations, as well as podcasting and social media summits, since I'm heavily invested in social media and have a podcast of my own."
