Tonight's special guest is Cindi Taylor from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. "My sexual abuse started at age 7 and continued until I was 15 by my stepfather," she reports. "My mother asked me one day after school if something was happening / did happen between the two of us [but] I didn't get away until I moved our if the house I grew up in. I was confused, scared. I knew this wasn't happening to my girlfriends." Cindi explains, "I didn't get away until I moved our if the house I grew up in. I was confused, scared. I knew this wasn't happening to my girlfriends. I have complex PTSD, ADHD. I am completely at peace with the abuse. I know that the abuse was put upon me because I kept a positive attitude, determination and sheer grit about processing through it all and not only surviving, but thriving in spite of everything." Now she's an active advocate. "I have started a foundation called 'A Positive Survivor'. It's on FB and soon to be LinkedIn & Instagram. I have begun to book talks with local AA groups, women's shelters & schools to tell my story. They all need to remain positive and take their individual journey one day at a time. Always breathe, pray and walk daily to help your mind process, digest and work through all things: negative or positive!!"
