We'll feature a survivor-professional co-host who'll field topics brought to the episode by you, the listener. ~~ Tonight the special co-host will be Barbara Joy Hansen (Bobbie Joy) from Milford, Massachusetts. Her award winning memoir, 'Listen to the Cry of the Child,' describes her childhood world of violence. She was victimized from age 2 to 8 by her grandfather, sexually assaulted at 11-12 by a youth pastor, raped at age 18, and suffered sexual addictions in her marriage causing severe Complex trauma resulting with PTSD. After 38 years, Bobbie Joy now facilitates 'Beauty Out of Ashes' support group and has had many media interviews, including the 'Dr. Oz Show'. Her Humanitarian Aid Work has taken her to the Philippines, and a 4 minute YouTube film of her experience can be seen on her website, www.listentothecry.org. She has a God given passion, purpose & advocacy calling to help survivors everywhere including prisoner's & sex offenders all over the world. ~~ On these episodes we welcome various co-hosts, survivor-professionals who'll assist in fielding questions and lead a variety of topics suggested by our call-in participants.
