Coming Home to Yourself to Heal
in Health
In this episode, Dr. David Hanscom continues his discussion with film producer Dana Croschere. She described how the commission to do the film came at a key turning point in her journey through chronic pain. Besides her own story, the film features others on their journey as well as interviews with experts. During the process of making the film she learned the importance of having love and self-compassion for yourself; becoming aware of and identifying what you are experiencing and feeling in the moment; and processing things you haven’t before. These insights helped her heal and thrive.
Dana Croschere’s journey is an inspirational one, full of many obstacles including two unsuccessful spine surgeries in 2020. While still experiencing some level of chronic pain most days, Dana has been able to harness the power of her mind to accomplish things she once thought impossible. She now greets each day with a smile as she works hard to spread the message of LOVE HEALS, a documentary that she not only produced but is featured in as the main character.

Lost Arts Radio Show #383 - Special Guest Bart Sibrel
in Health
I can remember clearly back in 1969, when I was a university student, the excitement of the successful Apollo 11 moon mission. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the surface of the moon for about two hours. This marked the United States taking the lead over the Soviet Union in the "space race," during the prolonged international conflict known as the Cold War. It also fulfilled a promise made by President John F. Kennedy before he was killed, that the United States was committed to landing a man on the moon before the end of the 1960's, and returning him safely to Earth. Fifty-three years ago, there was no public internet and a far more naïve and trusting population, tending to believe whatever the television and newspaper reporters said was true.
Now the situation is different. The long track record of lies, elaborate deception, theft, and mass murder on the part of governments, often in partnership with global corporations, has made a large and increasing percentage of the public aware that media and those in positions of power cannot be trusted to tell the truth, especially about matters of great importance. They want us to forget that real science says "question everything." But not everyone has forgotten.
Bart Sibrel (www.sibrel.com) is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and investigative journalist, who has been producing television programs, documentaries, music videos, TV commercials, and stage plays for over thirty-five years, starting at the age of eighteen, hosting his own television talk show. Bart is one of those who has not forgotten. He noticed anomalies in the moon landing story, and applied his skills as an investigative journalist to find out the truth. The amazing story of what he uncovered is told in his book Moon Man. The conclusion he came to, that the moon landing never happened, is very convincing.

Healing the Scars of Your Bullied Brain with Author Jennifer Fraser
in Health
Why do we say we have zero tolerance for bullying, but adult society is rife with it and it is an epidemic among children?
Because the injuries that all forms of bullying and abuse do to brains are invisible. We ignore them, fail to heal them, and they become cyclical and systemic.
In today's guest, Jennifer Fraser's book The Bullied Brain, readers learn about the evidence doctors, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists and neuroscientists have gathered, that shows the harm done by bullying and abuse to your brain, and how you can be empowered to protect yourself and all others.
Jennifer Fraser earned her PhD from University of Toronto in Comparative Literature. Her first book Rite of Passage in the Narratives of Dante and Joyce explores the way in which individuals transform from readers to writers of culture. Her second book Be A Good Soldier: Children's Grief in Modernist English Novels looks at pedagogical beliefs about children and the ways in which they fuel aggression and war. She has written three plays that focus on contemporary suffering: Distortion, Aristotle's Poetics, and Wakeful Sleeper. They're with the Playwright's Guild of Canada. Her third book Teaching Bullies takes lived experience with an abuse crisis and puts it into the context of psychology, psychiatry, education, law, and neuroscience. What's being discovered in neuroscientific labs across the world has the power to change how we understand our brains and lives. This empowering research infuses her latest book The Bullied Brain: Heal Your Scars and Restore Your Health. She also writes thrillers. For fun, check out Crush (a wine thriller) and Royal Dispatch which is about Queen Elizabeth II's dangerous trip to Canada in the 1950s (yes, it's fiction).
