Unlocking Calm and Healing with the Feldenkrais Method

    in Health

In this episode, Dr. David Hanscom talks with Senior Feldenkrais Trainer David Zemach-Bersin. He discusses the neuroscience behind anxiety and pain and how the Feldenkrais method addresses these. He explains the Feldenkrais emphasis on slow movements to engage the parasympathetic nervous system and promote calmness and a sense of safety. He talks about its ability to facilitate learning by leveraging the body's physiology to regulate the nervous system. He discusses how it can reverse the survival response and its role in attracting the brain's attention to positive experiences. He also touches on the practical application of Feldenkrais sessions in creating new circuits in the nervous system.
David Zemach-Bersin is a Senior Feldenkrais Trainer who has studied and expanded upon the work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais for over 50 years. He studied directly with Dr. Feldenkrais in Europe, the USA and Israel for over ten years. With the onset of Covid in 2020, he co-founded FeldenkraisAccess.com, with the intention to bring the incredible benefits of the Feldenkrais Method to everyone wishing to improve, and lead a more comfortable, pain free life. David has taught all over the world and lives in Connecticut with his wife, Kaethe. For more information, visit www.feldenkraisaccess.com.

Effect of Biological Warfare and Political Bioterrorism on Public Health

    in Health

Today's special guest, Adam Finnegan, was in the 8th grade when he received a vaccine for HepB, which resulted in various neurological disorders he still suffers from today. Congressional hearings confirmed the vaccine was having adverse effects on children. He is also personally affected by Lyme disease and its co-infections. His personal experience resulted in a lifelong interest in the science behind the creation of antigens, or the toxins introduced by vaccines into one’s body to create an immune response.
He found that before the advent of DNA and mRNA technology, much of the discoveries about antigens were related to the creation of stealth biological weapons by the Nazis during World War II, and one scientist in particular, Erich Traub. Traub would eventually come under the auspices of the U.S. government because of his knowledge on viruses and bacterial diseases and become a pawn in the Cold War between the U.S. and Soviet Union in the weaponization of his research.
His book, The The Sleeper Agent, seeks to educate the public about the reality of bioengineering and its link to biological warfare conducted on unsuspecting populations in developing countries even today. Lyme disease and its co-infections, for insistence, actually can be linked to Traub’s research. On a larger scale, the author also links the creation of antigens used in a multitude of required vaccines as creating “immune exhaustion” in the body, thus leading to the onset of chronic illnesses such as cancer and various neurological problems.
The Sleeper Agent uncovers many surprising secrets including how these same advances are unleashing unforeseen adverse health effects on unsuspecting populations, as well as giving rise to chronic diseases and death.

Close Up Radio Spotlights Dr. Jaleen Sims of Sims Foundation of HOPE

    in Health

Flowood, MS - The biggest challenge facing women of color today is still racial inequality. “Women of color are dying 3 to 5 times more than other races related to maternal health. When we look at the data, their educational levels are the same, where they live is the same—it all boils down to racial bias in care,” explains Dr. Jaleen Sims, OB/GYN and co-founder of the Sims Foundation of H.O.P.E.
To help educate all women about the importance of their voices in their healthcare, Dr. Sims recently began Livin’ Well with Dr. Jay on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and https://www.livinwellwithdrjay.com. “My goal for Livin’ Well is for it to become an educational hub for women’s health while also offering speaking and consulting services for community outreach, health event planning and physician services,” explains Dr. Sims. “In the future, I see Livin’ Well having a radio/TV show that highlights inspirational stories around women’s health.”
Jaleen and her husband, Ray, also founded Sims Foundation of H.O.P.E. (Health, Opportunity, Prosperity, and Empowerment) to enhance the lives of underserved people and communities through education, health/wellness information, career/personal development support, and life skills. They also host annual Community Baby Showers and Resource Fairs.
Dr. Sims realizes that, “It takes a village - the Sims Foundation of H.O.P.E. is honored to be a part of that village in the community.”
