Lavell Watson, a Chicago, Illinois native, was greatly influenced by his family and the spiritual atmosphere surrounding him throughout his early years. Deeply immersed in the church, he developed a love for his heritage and music. His family encouraged that love which led to a career in the music industry. The quest for hot music led him to find an outlet through his turntables (a gift from his father). DJ ?JIHAAD? created a major buzz for himself at the early age of sixteen. He landed a deal which caused him to be known as the first Chicago hip-hop DJ on a major record deal. He had the pleasure and privilege to work and record with major artists and tour with DeLa Soul. He has also done shows with major artists throughout the country and has appeared on ?Yo MTvRaps? with TWISTA. He worked as a tour DJ for Epic, Warner Brothers, Universal and BMG/Loud Records.
