My SisterFriend, D’Olivia, began this discussion, asking me about how cultural practices are passed on from generation to generation. She wondered if most people live from their own authentic beliefs, or perhaps, just living “conditioned” false-truths that are sprinkled into their minds by others, like a magical dust.
D’Olivia asks pertinent questions; Is it time for us to inspect, dissect and determine which cultural and societal practices benefit humankind? Which ones need to be lost, or revamped and elevated? It is evident today that some practices no longer fit the Spiritual Evolution and Freedom Rights of people, especially those Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC.)
Please join us tonight as we have an open, heart-to-heart conversation on how we “show up in the world” based on our beliefs, customs and practices.
See you on the radio!

Sharon says what makes these conversations transformative is that deep-rooted change comes from a different way of being.

In this episode of The Up-Leveled Man, I want to discuss and trend that I think is going to continue as women realize they want more, need more and deserve more.
All your spouse wants is to be seen, heard, and loved. They simply want you to be present. When you're not, another nail goes in the coffin, and soon the relationship is dead.
Those men who are not noticing, paying attention, and seeing their wives, significant others, partners, girlfriends, and lovers the way they want to be seen, will soon find themselves either single or in an involuntary love triangle.
Episode 208: Living the 80/20 Rule with guest Penney Zenker
Have you heard of the 80/20 rule? The 80/ 20 rule suggests that 20 percent of what you do will account for 80 percent of what you achieve, your results. In this episode, Penny Zenker shows us just how we can do this.
Penny serves as a focusologist, international speaker, business coach and is one of America's leading experts in the psychology of productivity to eliminate distraction, perfectionism, and self-sabotage to maximize results in every area of your life. When your child becomes an adult such should transition into a beautiful relationship. However many parents have no idea as to how to parent their adult child. Many parents are finding themself in this situation. Yes maturity and lack of maturity can play a part. And yes rent is much higher than what it was over 20 years ago.
It has been said that many adults age 18-24 live with their parents. Now 13 percent of adults ages 24-35 also reside with their parents. Situations may vary. However as a parent are you enabkling your adult child?Do you know the signs of an enabling parent? Do you have an overly dependent adult child? Are you helping or hurting your adult child? Often anxiety, fear, guillt, culture, and unresolved family issues can play a part. There is also something called, " Enabling Mother Syndrome." But what about fathers that enable their daughters or sons?
One may question why is enabling your adult child a bad thing especially if you are able to help your adult child? Let's talk about it.
We must stop enabling our adult children as it stops them from doing what they may be able to do for themself. Such can lead to entitlement issues, resentment, disrespful behaviors, emeshed relationships. Some parents will also later feel like a prisioner in their own home. It can also lead to relational discord with one's spouse or partner. I want to hear your thoughts. Live 11/8/21 at 12pm Pacific. To join in on the conversation call 516 387-1914. If you are not available you can also click on the link to listen at a later time. Also share with others. Let's hold our adult children responsible and accountable. Let's start setting boundaries. Hosted by Jeanette Abney LMFT
Lord we come today bringing all our fears, troubles, worries, insecurities, sickness, afflictions, pain, sorrow just to name a few. Not sure how much more we can take, we need a move Jesus. Whatever you're doing this season include me. Hear my prayers, my cry. The heart is heavy, broken, only you can amend. We are the clay, you are the potter, so mold us father God and reshape us to look like what you intended. Amen
