Georgeanne also known as George has devoted 46 years of her colorful career to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, which operates the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. She is currently the director of publishing, but spent 22 ½ years in public relations and marketing and 16 ½ years leading the communications team in the philanthropy division of the organization. She is a champion for wildlife and conservation as well as an award winning author of two dozen children's books about animals, including the Zoo's award-winning Hope and Inspiration collection. Photographing and learning about wildlife in their native habitats are passions for George.
