Guest: Sharon Mahli: Chief People Officer, NHS As Chief People Officer, Sharon's vision is for a healthy, resilient, capable and flexible workforce. Sharon is focused on empowering staff at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to learn, lead, innovate and collaborate in a culture that is inclusive, wellbeing-focussed and patient-centred. From our induction programme for new starters, to practical things like dedicated wellbeing spaces in the Trust and undertaking wellbeing conversations, colleagues feel well supported with their physical and mental health and wellbeing. With a focus on bringing our authentic selves to work, Sharon is helping to create an environment where staff feel valued, supported and empowered. Sharon Malhi joined the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in April 2019 and has worked as a Senior HR Professional for over 15 years. Sharon is an Alumni of the NHS HR Graduate Management Training Scheme and gained her membership of the CIPD in 2008 following successful completion of her Post Graduate Diploma, going on to complete her MA in Human Resources in 2015. Her experience includes service within the public, private and voluntary sectors where she has led on Organisational Development, Learning and Development, Human Resources and Business Development initiatives and she is also a qualified coach and mentor. She is a Trustee for Victoria Academies Trust and is Joint Senior Responsible Officer for the Leadership and Inclusion workstream across the Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System. Sharon was born in Bradford, grew up in Leeds and moved to the West Midlands in 2006. Join us as we discuss a healthy, resilient, capable and flexible workforce.
