    Redefining Sexy in Menopause

    in Health

Welcome to the first episode of My Sexy Menopause Body with your host, Kim Nicholson! In this episode, Kim opens up with a personal story about how her podcast title initially raised some eyebrows—including her husband’s! But that hesitation is exactly why this podcast exists. Kim is here to change the narrative around menopause, showing that sexy and menopause do belong together.
She dives deep into what My Sexy Menopause Body really means—not just for her, but for every woman over 45. In this conversation, Kim explores how the idea of sexy evolves over the decades. In our 20s, sexy might have been all about how we looked, but as we move into our 40s, 50s, and beyond, sexy becomes something much deeper. It’s about confidence, self-acceptance, and embracing the body, mind, and spirit during this transformative time.
Kim also unpacks some common myths about menopause, like the idea that menopause is the end of feeling attractive or that weight gain is inevitable. Spoiler: neither is true! Through real talk and reflection, Kim helps us see menopause as a time of growth, power, and new beginnings.
And to help you continue your journey of empowerment, check out Kim’s online courses and books at KimNick.com for more resources designed to support and uplift you during this phase of life.
If you’re ready to flip the script on menopause and redefine what sexy means for you, this episode is your perfect starting point.

MONDAY MORNING MOTIVATION 1/2 HOUR OF P.O.W.E.R W/ DA QUEEN

    in Culture

**Monday Morning Motivation: 1/2 Hour of P.O.W.E.R with Queen Angela**
**Happy New Month!** Welcome to our first Monday in October. Today, as we embark on this 1/2 hour of P.O.W.E.R, I want us to touch on a deeply personal topic—grief. With the holidays approaching, this time of year can be particularly challenging for many of us.
Let me share something close to my heart: I am grieving. I miss my brother terribly and at times, I still can't believe he is gone. Grief is a journey, not a destination, and it’s important to acknowledge the phases we may experience.
    1. **Denial**: This is often our mind's way of shielding us from the initial shock. We might find it hard to believe the loss has occurred.
    2. **Anger**: We may feel frustrated, helpless, or even angry at the person we lost, others, or the situation.
    3. **Bargaining**: Here, we might dwell on "what if" statements, hoping to change the reality through our minds.
    4. **Depression**: Sadness and regret can settle in as we start acknowledging the loss and its impact on our lives.
    5. **Acceptance**: This doesn't mean we're okay with the loss, but we begin to understand that it’s a part of our new reality.
Everyone's grief journey is unique, and you might move back and forth between these stages. So, how do we cope?
    - **Talk About It:** Share your feelings with someone you trust. Speaking your emotions can be cathartic and validating.
    - **Remember Your Loved One:** Create a memory book, look at pictures, or celebrate their life in a way that feels right for you.
    - **Self-Care:** Prioritize your physical and emotional health. Gentle exercise, healthy eating, and rest can be powerful.
    - **Seek Professional Help:** Therapy or joining a support group can offer guidance and comfort.
MISSING MY BROTHER, IT HURT SO MUCH!!!! IT'S A DIFFERENT HURT

How Do You Respond When You Are Dissatisfied? Stacey Lunsford

    in Self Help

Welcome To The Heartbeat of God With Stacey Lunsford - my mission is to share the gospel in nontraditional ways to help people grow in their personal relationship with God through understanding the root issue or the "source" of their dissatisfication.  Sometimes when we are not at our best, and we are displeased about somethin, we operate our of our distatisfaction, and when this happens, our dissatisfaction becomes the open door for the spirit of robbery to come in and steal from us. Part of my ministry is presenting questions to help you perform self-examination so that you can "see" both your strengths and your weaknesses....so my first question is:
    1. Eloquently Speaking what is the source of your dissatisfaction?  Dissatisfaction is the absence of being satisfied. When you are satisfied, you are happy, you are content, and you are pleased...and my 2nd question is how do you respond when you are displeased?   3.Does your displeasure, change your countenance?  4. What is your attitude like when you are dissatisifed.  Guess what, King Saul was dissatisfied that David killled 10, 000 and the source of his dissatisifaction was that he killed 9,000 less then David so right here I want to highlight the CULPRIT here which is jealousy, envy and covetousness.  David didn't care about the numbers that he killed in battle, he simply served God as he served King Saul with a spirit of excellence and his only goal was to pursue, overtake, recover and conquer all! This message will challenge you to perform self-examination and "SEE YOURSELF" your response, your actions, your attitude and how you treat others when you are dissatisified.  King Saul mistreated David.....do you mistreate people?
